The Freelance Solidarity Project is the Digital Media Division of the National Writers Union.
FSP’s organizing projects are initiated, developed, and stewarded by rank-and-file member-organizers who collaborate through Working Groups, which are collected into thematic Subcommittees. Currently, we are organizing around Rates + Contracts, Legislative Campaigns, A/V Media Workers, Solidarity + Political Education, Media Economy, and Community Outreach.
Each Subcommittee has representation on the Division’s Steering Committee, which meets monthly and works to facilitate member-organizer projects.
Two NWU Digital Media Division Co-Chairs are elected by FSP-NWU member-organizers to manage the outreach and operational arms of the work and build a stronger, more inclusive, more responsive, and more effective Division.
Members and non-members alike are welcome to reach out to the Steering Committee with ideas for collaboration, questions, and feedback via our general contact email address.
